Iron Pearl Kennels is the home of mushers, Jessica Hendricks and Thomas Lesatz whose goal is to one day win the Iditarod. Their 80+ race dogs range from 2 to 7 years old as well as yearlings and puppies. All of the dogs have been raised or trained by Jessica or Tom, making them competitors that they trust understand and count on. More…

Jessica Hendricks began mushing at the age of nine, competing in many junior sprint races, the Junior North American Championships, the Junior Yukon Quest and the Junior Iditarod. She won rookie of the year in the Iditarod 2003. More…

Thomas Lesatz, 28 years old, was born in Illinois and moved to Alaska in 2000 to handle for Rick Swenson. Thomas has also handled for Ray Redington and Russel Lain. More…
