Mush for NF Event

September 2009 - Tom Lesatz to Race in the 2010 Iditarod Race and Help Raise Awareness and Funds for Neurofibromatosis (NF) Inc. Tom’s Race to Promote and Fund Continuing NF Research Aimed at Identifying a Treatment and Cure for this Genetic, Progressive Nervous System Disorder

This racing season, consider sponsoring one of the checkpoints along the Iditarod trail. For $600-$1500, you can help IPK with expenses they will incur at each check point. Here are the check points still available:

Oden
DOB: 2001
Oden has finished four Iditarods and many other races. He his a lead dog and he is the father of many of the IPK pups. He is also Pinky’s brother. Oden is a handsome dog. He is now retired, but plays a very important role in our training program.

Baja
DOB: 2005
Baja is one of our
young dogs with lots of potential. He’s a big blue eyed boy with an "odd ball" personality and runs really well.

Maya
DOB: 2005
Maya is a very loving dog. She hasn’t raced much yet, but we look forward to seeing what she can do. Maya is Baja’s sister.

Camaro
DOB: 2004
Camero is a very happy dog with a silly gait. He is the brother of Cougar. Camaro participated in a couple of races last year and we look forward to seeing what he can do this year.
Joplyn
DOB: 2005
Joplyn is a sweet dog. She has a nice trot with a very hopeful future. She is one of our young favorites. Last year she had an injury that kept her out of races, but she’s back and ready to race in 2009. Joplyn is Morrison’s sister.

Hemi
DOB: 2004
Hemi has raced a great deal including some past Iditarods. He has a bi-polar attitude with good feet and a nice trot.

Rosie
DOB: 2002
Rosie is a one of our big girls. She has races in many mid-distance races and finished the Iditarod with Tom. Rosie is a very happy dog.

Oslo
DOB: 2004
Oslo has been been one of our leaders for two years. He finished the Iditarod, Tustomena 200, and many other races. Oslo is a Pointer X. .
Thor
DOB: 2004
Thor is a very happy lead dog. He’s a little accident prone, but very happy and extremely happy. Thor is Oslo’s brother.

Sharkie
DOB: 2002
Sharkie is a very dependable leader
He is a very good and steady leader which makes him great for training our young dogs.
Omega “Mega Man”DOB: 2004
Omega "Mega Man is a big, 65 pound dog. He is an extremely steady dog. Omega has quite and racing career. He is the son of Oden.

Lyric
DOB: 2004
Lyric has doesn’t race a great deal, but she is the mother to many of our pups.She quite a good dog and the clown of our kennel. Lyric is Omega’s sister.

Viper
DOB: 2004
Viper is one of the
goofiest and happiest dogs we have in our kennel. He is a wheel dog extraordinaire. Last year, he raced in every race. Viper is Chevelle’s brother.
Dozer
DOB: 2005 Dozer is the pretty boy of IPK. He can be a little sensitive, but he a very happy guy. Dozer works well in wheel position.
Furno
DOB: 2005
Furno is the son of Madera and Lance Mackey’s Zorro. He’ becoming our lead dog with an attitude. Furno is a happy guy and raced a lot in 2008-2009.

 Pinkie
DOB: 2001
Pinkie has quite a racing career, finishing the Iditarod three times. She has been in many races. Pinkie is one of the cutest dogs around with a lovable character. She is currently retired from racing, but a great training asset to our kennel.

Cougar
DOB: 2004
Couger is red male He is a very happy dog and the son of Madera. He has raced a few times and sometimes gets the opportunity to lead our team.

Buster
DOB: 1999
Buster is the best leader we’ve ever owned. He’s finished every race with us and led all of our Iditarods. He is mostly the single leader. Buster is a Tanana Village
bred dog.

Bolder
DOB: 2004
Bolder is a team and wheel dog. He is super fast and finished the
Tustomena 200 and the Sheep Mountain 150 in 2008.
Chevelle
DOB: 2004
Chevelle is the daughter of our famous dog, Madera. She is a very loyal and happy dog. This year, she’s the mother to some of our pups.
Morrison
DOB: 2005
Morrison is one of our big dogs. He is fast and can scream a tune like Jim Morrison, singer of the Doors. Morrison is a nice looking dog always ready to run with a lot of potential.
